So, I remember back in RISD when I had to write a report on her work and what I thought about her influence on high fashion. I’ve gotta say that I didn’t get it then and I still don’t get it now. IN MY OPINION 99.9% of high fashion is absolutely fucking ridiculous with very little use to anyone, artistically, practically, fashionably…. Maybe it’s just one continuous piece of performance art that repeats over and over again every few months.  Gaunt and hideous wraiths of women use every single ounce of energy in their coked up, nourishment deprived bodies to strut down the aisle two times wrapped up in awkwardly shaped cloth with bright flashing lights and loud music.

High fashion really is ridiculous, Fashion I understand, sure, we all want clothes that make us look appealing, that warm us, that cover our bits…. but high fashion?  The reason they call it HIGH fashion is because the designers are all skiing and rolling and intoxicated with a hundred other drugs that influence these rich and famous people to create these thousand dollar pieces of crap that are worn once and then pushed into the back of a closet, never to be seen again.  This money could be going towards disease research, ‘curing’ poverty, helping topple dictators…. HONESTLY??? It could even go towards fostering arts that don’t just appeal to the richest 2% of the world that can actually afford to… what? sit in on these ridiculous fashion shows? purchase these clothes to put on a diamond studded mannequin under their million dollar chandelier in their foyer?  Honestly?  To all of you who want to be designers some day…. think about what you’re doing before you do it.  

Also, guard your work, there are some nasty bitches out there who WILL steal your shit and not think twice.
